I finally made up my mind to actually work on a comic. It's not really hardcore and crap, like anime and stuff; the storyline is more realistic and focuses on the life of an individual suffering from a loss.
This guy's name is Ryan. After I drew him, I thought to myself "He looks like a Ryan." So I named him Ryan. It just clicked in my head for some reason when I was thinking up a name for him. I totally forgot that it was one of my friend's best friend's name at the time. Actually, I just remembered that info right now.
If you full-view the pic, you'll see a bit of his biography. I didn't put in his background or history in the profile because I'm still working on it. Besides, it'll ruin the story for the comic!! I'm still pondering on how the plot will work out in the end, because all I have down in my head is Ryan's problem, which is the story's plot.
I enjoyed drawing the piercings on his face and ears. ^^ But now that I look at it, I'm starting to think that it's not enough. I won't add on to the piercings, though. Instead, I might add on a tattoo somewhere on his body, but that decision is still uncertain. The bass guitar in the picture was originally an electric guitar. I'm not sure if that's an actual chord on the bass guitar *points at Ryan playing bass* but as I've said, I drew the first guitar as an electric one with six strings, and then changed my mind and erased two strings off of it to morph it into a bass guitar. I was too lazy to change the position of Ryan's left hand, but then again, what the hell? I don't know anything about the chords on the bass. Maybe the electric and bass have the same chords? Nah, I doubt it. Some of the chords on the electric guitar use those last two strings that the bass guitar doesn't have, so maybe I'm fine.
Ryan looks better with a bass guitar anyway. *laughs* It's funny because when he became a bassist, I started thinking of Mikey. I tried imitating his guitar, but I didn't do so well. Oh yeah. I didn't put in the detail for the guitar. As you can see, it has no frets. -____-;;
I'm proud of Ryan's profile. Not the biography; I mean his side-view. Don't ask why; to me, it just looks cool!!
By the way, I'm working on a picture of Ryan right now. After I'm done, I swear I'll start on the other characters' sketches (if there are any other characters). This comic might not have any other characters with big roles; maybe less than three or four characters, but the others are just people popping in and out of the story from Ryan's past.
Anyway, I'll probably be done with the picture tomorrow or the next day. I'm still trying to figure out on what the background should be, dammit. X____X;;
